With a very young team for the 2021 volleyball season, Christian County’s Hailey Sparks has become an important leader on and off the court for the Lady Colonels. While the high-flyers at the net tend to get a great deal of the attention, Sparks is the player who works to make sure those players get the opportunity to “kill” the play for her team.
During the COVID impacted season of 2020, as a sophomore, Sparks led the Lady Colonels in assists with 234. She also had 26 service aces, tying her for second-most on the team. Hailey finished the season with 50 kills and 8 blocks.
While we know a great deal about her accomplishments on the court, let’s find out more about Hailey in this week’s “Spotlight Athlete” presented by Parker Eye Care.
