After the Fort Campbell Falcons had dominated the annual Army Bowl series with the Fort Knox Eagles for an extended period of time, it appears it may be the Eagles’ turn to be at the top for a while. Fort Knox has now won the last two meetings in the series following Friday night’s 40-0 win at Fort Knox.

The two teams did not play last season after DoDEA decided not to allow contact falls sports at either of the two high schools.

Two years ago, the Eagles won for the first time in the series since 2002 when they traveled to Fryar Stadium and left with a 19-10 win over the Falcons.

The Eagles returned the opening kickoff 55 yards for a score and never looked back. Fort Knox then returned an interception for a score and led 14-0 with just a minute gone in the contest. Fort Knox would lead 28-0 at the half.

After back-to-back losses to Trigg County and Fort Knox, things will not get any easier next week. The Falcons will open district play by hosting the Mayfield Cardinals at Fryar Stadium.
