
Jackson Hill scored a top-10 finish to lead the Madisonville-North Hopkins golfers over the weekend at the 2021 Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All-State Championship in Lexington.
Hill shot a first-round 68 at the University Club of Lexington Saturday. He carded six birdies and came in with a 33 on the back nine.
On Sunday, Hill had two birdies in his round for a 73.
Ben Dickerson tied for 72nd place at 22 over par, and Paul Harris was 78th at 24-over.
J.T. Witherspoon finished in 92nd place and Andrew Davis was 96th.
The KGCA All-State Championship features the top 15 teams and top 21 individuals not on those teams. Qualifying is based on All-State points accumulated during the regular season for that year.
As a team, Madisonville finished in 14th place.
Both Madison Central and St. Xavier had aggregate scores under par to claim the top two places. Madison Central won a -3, which was two shots better than St. X.
