
Addi Fourqurean had a hat trick as the University Heights Academy girls prevailed 3-2 at Hopkins County Central on Monday.
The Lady Blazers (5-4) never trailed, but saw the Lady Storm (8-7) twice come back to forge ties at 1-1 and 2-2.
Fourqurean got UHA on the scoreboard early, getting help from Riley Bruce in the 3rd minute to make it 1-0.
Hopkins Central tied things in the 5th minute on a goal by Lillie Melton.
Fourqurean put the Lady Blazers back in front 2-1 in the 30th minute, heading in a corner kick from Anna Fourqurean.
But the Lady Storm pulled even again in the 37th minute on a Priya Holmes tally to tie things again at halftime 2-2.
That’s where the score remained until the 78th minute. Fourqurean completed her hat trick off an assist from Riley Bailey to give UHA the 3-2 triumph.
MacKenzie Young made six saves in the Lady Blazer net.
University Heights is back in action on Tuesday when it visits Trigg County.
