What has been a common problem of finding the net for the Hopkinsville Tigers throughout the 2021 soccer season continued to be one Tuesday night. Hopkinsville traveled across the lakes to take on the Calloway County Lakers in an inter-region matchup.
The Tigers battled right with the Lakers throughout the first half in soggy field conditions. The two teams went to the break at 0-0.
The Lakers got things rolling in the second half and pulled out to a 4-0 win over the Tigers. The win was the ninth in the last ten matches for Calloway County, who improved to 11-3 for the win.
For Hopkinsville, Kenneth McMickens had 13 saves to lead the Tiger effort.
The Tigers will continue to look for their first win of the season Saturday as they play a pair of matches in the annual Christian County Colonel Showcase at the Stadium of Champions.
