
The Trigg County volleyball team bounced back from a district loss to Livingston Central last time out to put the brakes on a twelve-game skid with a 3-2 victory over visiting Russellville on Thursday.
After not capitalizing on a first-set win on Tuesday, the Lady Wildcats found themselves trailing early after a 23-25 loss to the Lady Panthers.
However, Trigg rolled to 25-12 and 25-16 wins in the second and third sets to take a 2-1 advantage.
Russellville answered with a 25-18 win in the fourth to force a tiebreaker, which the Lady Wildcats took 15-8 to claim the win.
Trigg County returns to its home court on Monday when Hopkins County Central makes the trip to Cadiz.
