A trip to Henderson County is always a tough trip for teams in the southern part of the region simply because of the length of the drive. That trip likely felt even longer than normal Saturday for the Trigg County Wildcats.
The Henderson County Colonels scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the match and then rolled from there to a 10-0 win over Trigg County.
Braeden Myers-Curry, Trevor Book, and Ashton Todd all found the net for the Colonels in the opening seven minutes. Curry would score twice more in the opening half, while Book and Todd also scored again. Carter Denton also scored for Henderson County as the Colonels led 8-0 at the break.
Henderson did not waste much time closing out the match in the second half. Zander Wilson scored eight minutes into the second half and Braeden Myers-Curry found the net again at the 49:00 to end the match at 10-0.
Trigg County drops to 2-9-1 with the loss. The Wildcats get back to action Monday when they host Hopkinsville.
