Duffy and former UK kicker Miles Butler have their own podcast — Pin It Deep — and have decided to let fans get involved.
“If you like us make sure to reach out and let us know if you want to have a chat about your tailgate,” Duffy said. “We will come join in, eat some food with you and have some fun.”
Duffy apparently is not a fan of buffalo chicken dip and plans to rate that dip before the Florida game.
“I am not expecting any high ratings (for the dips),” Duffy said.
Pin It Deep is an entertaining podcast if you have yet to hear it. Guests this season have included Chris Rodriguez, Will Levis and Josh Paschal. Duffy said it is not about X’s and O’s but sharing stories.
According to Duffy, UK coach Mark Stoops wants on the show.
“He keeps ringing me all hours of the morning begging me to come on. I had to block his number because he keeps hitting me up and is so eager to come on,” Duffy joked. “He has to wait his turn, but we are going to get to him. We have Wan’Dale Robinson coming on next, so Stoops just has to wait.”
What about other UK coaches? Are they possible guests?
“The other coaches are not that much fun. They are way too serious, particularly (defensive coordinator) Brad White,” Duffy said.
However, Duffy’s mother, Julie, had some recent advice about the podcast that usually lasts 40 to 50 minutes.
“She’s one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Never said a bad word to me. I could put 25 times sideways into the stands and she would say great job,” Duffy said. “But recently she said, ‘Max I love you. Shorten it down to 15 minutes.’ It was very harsh but I don’t think many agree with her at this stage, or at least I hope they don’t.”
