A pair of top-10 finishes powered the Trigg County boys’ cross country team to a 2nd-place showing at Saturday’s Marshall County Invitational.
Austin Cavanaugh finished 2nd with a time of 16:41.64, just behind Apollo’s Thomas Ashby at 16:24.34. Timmy Cannon ran 10th with a 17:43.46.
Marshall Jenkins was 15th with a time of 18:14.14, followed by Riley Thompson in 22nd with an 18:28.35, and River Oliver in 25th with an 18:42.40.
Jack Lingenfelter was 57th, Joseph Crawford was 68th, Jonathan Quincey finished 129th, and Christian Nott was 142nd.
Trigg finished behind 1st-place West Plains High School in the team standings with 70 points and an average time of 17:57.
