
Hopkinsville’s Allison Wood finished 4th and freshman Rebecca Wood was 13th to help the girls’ cross country team to a runner-up showing at the Marshall County Invitational on Saturday.
Allison was the lone runner not from West Plains High School to finish in the top seven, with her time of 19:52.31 placing her 4th just behind West Plains’ Jonda Kantola in 3rd. West Plains’ Brayden Kantola finished 1st with a 19:24.74.
Rebecca’s 22:43.35 put her inside the top 15, followed by Kaydon Coats in 20th with a time of 23:39.44.
Justice Wright was 38th, Lauren Mayes was 54th, Eva Blankenberger ran 60th, and Hailey Cordero finished 78th.
The Lady Tigers finished with 93 points and an average time of 24:03, with West Plains taking the top spot with 17 points and an avergage of 20:10.
