
Vova West scored four goals to lead Heritage Christian Academy to a 5-0 win over Assumption Academy Saturday in Elizabethtown. The win keeps the Warriors unbeaten and gives them the inside track at the top seed in next month’s KCAA State Soccer Tournament.
West’s four-goal bounty gives him 13 for the season. Trenton Hayes added his 11th goal, and Matt Wills and the Warrior defense earned the clean sheet.
Hayes, Trentin Fowler, Liana Carr, and Carlos Robles each tallied assists.
HCA’s season record stands at 6-0-1. The one tie came against Assumption, who entered the week as the No. 1 team in the KCAA.
As the lone unbeaten team in KCAA play, the Warriors now have the inside track for a top seed in the state tournament.
HCA will host Lakeside Christian Saturday and honor its senior players.
