Coming off a pair of tough losses to 3rd Region teams over the weekend, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels responded with a straight-set win over the Russellville Lady Panthers Monday night in Elkton. The Lady Rebels kept their streak alive of all of their wins so far this season being sweeps of their opponent.
This one was all Lady Rebels from the sound of the opening whistle. Todd County Central took the opening set 25-10, and make quick work of the Lady Panthers from there.
Todd Central completed the sweep by winning the next two sets 25-9 and 25-6 to close out the match.
Lucy Chester and Lanie Bivins were a potent 1-2 combination at the net, finishing the night with a combined 20 kills. Chester had 12, while Bivins added eight more.
Meredith Drummond and Lucy Chester were almost overpowering with their serves as Drummond had eight aces and Chester added seven. Addileigh Wofford finished her night with a total of 22 assists.
Todd Central will be back in action Thursday when they host Muhlenberg County.
