Coming off a district win over Fort Campbell, the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers hit the road Tuesday night looking to build some late-season momentum on the volleyball court. However, the Webster County Lady Trojans had other thoughts on their minds.
Webster County won a tough first set and then rolled on to a straight-set win over the Lady Tigers Tuesday night in Dixon.
The Lady Trojans opened the evening by outlasting the Lady Tigers 25-21 in the opening set. From there, Webster County got things rolling and won the next two sets 25-16 and 25-12 to complete the sweep.
The loss drops Hopkinsville to 6-16 on the season. The Lady Tigers are set to get back to action Monday night when they host Union County. That match to be followed Tuesday night by an 8th District matchup against Christian County.
