Playing in the final golf match of his high school career, Evan Pyle shot an 86 to lead the University Heights Academy golfers at Tuesday’s Region 2 Tournament played at the Henderson Country Club.
The Blazer senior just missed a trip to the state tournament by three shots.
Madisonville’s Jackson Hill shot a round of 77 to win the tournament.
Middle schooler Brady Hightower shot a 98 for UHA’s second-lowest score of the day. Luke Shouse shot a 103, Wade Foster a 105, and Aaron Onate a 107.
As a team, UHA totaled 392 points to finish in 12th place.
