The Christian County Lady Colonels will be on a bit of a roll as they head into a big 8th District soccer match Thursday evening. The Lady Colonels won their third straight match Wednesday night by knocking off district rival Fort Campbell 4-0 down on post. With the win, the Lady Colonels lock up at least the #3 seed for the 8th District tourney.

The shutout win was the second in a row for the Lady Colonels and third of the season. Emma Camp had three saves in goal and came up with the shutout effort.

The Christian County offense has also found its stride. After scoring just 18 goals over the first ten matches of the season for a 1.8 goals per match average, the Lady Colonels have scored 12 goals in their last three matches or an average of 4.0 goals per match.

Autumn Bell led the way for the Christian County Lady Colonels Wednesday night scoring a pair of goals on through balls from Lilly Larkins. Taylor Dunn and Cayleigh Clay also found the net for Christian County.

Christian County will wrap up the regular season Thursday night with an 8th District match against University Heights. The winner will be the two seed in the district tournament, while the loser will be the three seed. That match will be at the Stadium of Champions.

However, from a tournament standpoint, the result will not affect who plays who, as the Lady Colonels and the Lady Blazers will meet in one semifinal of the 8th District tournament. The Lady Falcons will take on top-seeded Hopkinsville in the other semifinal.
