
As an eighth-grader, Conlee Lindsey missed going to the state golf tournament when a late hiccup forced a playoff where she lost on the first hole.
One year later, a better front nine score, some added maturity, and improved short game saw her overcome another late hiccup — a lost ball on No. 17 — and qualify for her first state tournament.
The University Heights Academy freshman used her improved mental and physical game to finish in an eighth-place tie at the Region 2 Tournament Monday at the Madisonville Country Club.
