Jaylen Boyd’s big game helped Lindsey Wilson College set a program record with its 15th straight win on the gridiron.
The former Caldwell County standout ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns as the Blue Raiders defeated Cumberland (Tenn.) 34-7 Saturday night in Columbia.
Boyd had a 42-yard touchdown scamper in the second quarter as Lindsey Wilson put up three touchdowns in that frame to go up 27-0 at halftime.

The former Tiger did his damage on just 11 carries.
Boyd now has four TDs this season for the Blue Raiders, who are 4-0.
Because the 2020 season was played this past spring because of COVID-19, all 15 of Lindsey Wilson’s wins have come during this calendar year.
The defending NAIA national champions continue their season next Saturday, Oct. 9, with a trip to Thomas More.
