
The Trigg County volleyball team continued its improved play of late with a third win in five tries on Tuesday, knocking off visiting Union County 3-1 in Wildcat Gym.
All four sets were tightly contested, with the Lady Wildcats taking a 1-0 lead with a 25-22 victory in the first.
The Lady Braves bounced back to take the second 25-17 before Trigg County moved back in front with another three-point win in the third.
The teams needed 62 points in the fourth to decide the match, with the Lady Wildcats finally pulling out a 32-30 result.
Trigg County moves to 5-19 on the season and has a week off before traveling to Murray High on October 12.
