The University Heights Academy Lady Blazers put up a battle, but ended up being falling in three sets Tuesday night as they began the next to last week of the regular season. The Apollo E-Gals came into Blazer Gym and returned to Owensboro with a three-set sweep.
Apollo opened the night by taking the first set 25-17. The rest of the night was tight right down to the very end.
The Lady Blazers stood toe-to-toe with the E-Gals in the second set. Apollo would end up taking the set 26-24.
The third set was a continuation of the second. University Heights gave the E-Gals all they wanted, but it would end up being Apollo that took the set 25-23 to complete the three-set sweep.
The loss drops UHA to 15-10 on the year. The Lady Blazers are back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Madisonville-North Hopkins.
