Todd County Central is used to playing with only 10 players with a roster limited by numbers for most of the season. Despite the disadvantage, the Lady Rebels picked up their first postseason win i four years Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Russellville.
Maddie Henderson’s goal in the 24th minute was the only goal of the game. The Lady Rebel defense took over from there, surviving a late flurry of Russellville shots.
Sam Case made nine saves in goal for Todd County Central, who improved to 3-9-3. They will look for the program’s first district title since 2017 Thursday with a championship matchup with Logan County.
Russellville, who owned a 2-1 win over Todd County earlier in the season, fell to 14-7-2 with the loss.
