He has been a part of team athletic success at University Heights Academy and individual athletic success at UHA. This week’s Spotlight Athlete, presented by Parker Eye Care, is Ethan Alexander.
As of Thursday morning, the senior Blazers has played in 16 matches during the 2021 soccer season. While his play on the field is not reflected in statistics, Alexander’s defense and ball control in the middle of the field has been a big part of the UHA success. During the COVID-19 shortened season of 2020, Alexander played in all 13 matches and had 4 assists to his credit.
In his sophomore season in 2019, Alexander played in 15 matches. He scored three goals and had one assist. Ethan also saw action in 10 matches during his freshman season of 2018.
Alexander has also been outstanding on the tennis court for the Blazers. After losing all of the 2020 season, Ethan stood out during the 2021 season, becoming one of the best boys’ players in the 2nd Region. He would reach the regional semifinals and qualify for the 2021 state tennis tournament.
Let’s find out more about Ethan Alexander in this week’s “Spotlight.”
