Christian County senior Aaliyah Hampton scored a game-high 29 points, 28 in the second half, in Thursday night’s 61-51 8th-District title-game victory. However, it was the Lady Colonels’ defense, particularly after point guard Breon Oldham fouled out for Hoptown, that ultimately turned the game for in their favor.
Afterward, Hampton talked her first-half foul trouble, and says she likes where the Lady Colonels are heading into next week’s 2nd Region tournament.
