Jacarius Burks finished his senior season averaging 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds a game, good enough for second in both categories for the 16-14 Hopkinsville Tigers. Burks earned All-8th District and All-2nd Region honors for a Tiger team that saw its season end with a buzzer-beater loss to Christian County in the semifinals of the district tournament.
On Friday in a ceremony at HHS, Burks made his future plans official when he signed to continue his career at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL. After joining the Mallards, Burks says he was impressed with the support systems the school has in place.
