The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers are likely starting to get tired of seeing the Crittenden County Lady Rockets. Going into Friday night’s game at Hopkinsville, the Lady Rockets had outscored the Lady Tigers 58-1 in their last five meetings. Things did not get much better for Hopkinsville Friday night.
Crittenden County scored in every at bat on their way to a 15-1 five inning win over the Lady Tigers. The Lady Rockets scored their 15 runs by pounding out 13 hits, and by taking advantage of three Hoptown errors and five walks.
Crittenden County scored five in the first, two in the second, four in the third, and two runs in both the fourth and 5th innings.
The bright spot for the Lady Tigers was the continued power output of Nadia Clayton, who homered to left field in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Kalli Champion was big for Crittenden County, going 2-4, with a grand slam, a double, four RBIs, and two runs scored.
