Trigg County showed some early signs of trying to win a set from Livingston Central, but the Lady Cardinals took advantage of some spotty Lady Wildcat serving in claiming a three-set win Thursday in Smithland. Livingston won the match 25-16, 25-16, 25-11.
Lady Wildcat coach Doug Hargrove liked what he saw out of his young squad in the first two sets despite a few serving errors that kept them from mounting a run to overtake the Lady Cardinals.
Livingston Central completes the season sweep of Trigg County and improves to 4-9 overall and 2-1 in the district.
Trigg County fell to 0-16 and 0-2 in the district with matches against Crittenden County coming up Monday in Cadiz and Oct. 1 in Marion. The Lady Wildcats will also host Union County Tuesday at Wildcat Gym.
