The Todd County Central boys’ soccer team suffered its first mercy-rule loss of the season on Saturday, falling 10-0 to the visiting Owensboro Catholic Aces. O Cath moves to 8-7-1 and is riding a three-game win streak, while the Rebels slip to 1-13-2 overall.
Joe Fusco led the way for the Aces, recording a hat trick and adding assist, while Cole Blandford had a pair of goals and assists. Tom Kurtz, Matthew Murphy, Austin Martin and Luke Payne each scored once. Landon Reffitt and Caleb Ranello combined in goal for the shutout.
Todd County Central will play its last road match of the season on Monday, travelling to face 0-16-1 Butler County. The Rebels and Bears played to a 3-3 draw in Elkton earlier in the season.
