Slow Start Equals Road Loss for Lady Rebels

In their first meeting on the hardwood in three years, Butler County handed Todd County Central a 67-45 setback Monday in Morgantown.  The Lady Rebels have now lost three straight games.

Jaelyn Taylor scored 10 points for Butler County during a 20-3 run to start the game.  Taylor finished with 20 points and went to the free throw line 16 times, hitting 10.  Free throws proved to be a big factor in the contest.  Butler hit 23-of-33, including 7-of-12 in the fourth quarter.  Todd County hit 8-of-12.

The Lady Rebels outscored Butler 14-12 in the second quarter but were outscored in the final two quarters.

Jordan Weathers knocked down five 3-pointers, including three in the final quarter, to lead the Lady Rebels with 17 points.  Emoni Fort added nine points.

After losing their first four games of the season, Butler County (2-4) has rebounded to win two straight.  The Bears have won three straight over the Lady Rebels dating back four years.

Todd County Central (1-4) will travel to Caldwell County Tuesday and finish the week at the Russellville Food Bank Classic Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
