Kyky Tandy has been named to the Big East Conference All-Freshman Team based on voting conducted by the league’s coaches.
Tandy averaged 11.6 points in Xavier’s eight Big East Conference wins and has recorded nine of his 10 double-figure scoring games in conference play.
For the season, Tandy is averaging 6.7 ppg. in 18.3 minutes per game. He is shooting 38-percent from the field and 36-percent from 3-point range, which is second on the team.
Xavier (18-12) begins Big East Tournament play Wednesday as the No. 7 seed and will face off against No. 10 seed DePaul.
