CLASS OF 2020 – Trigg County’s Hayden Cunningham

3-25-cunningham

With the spring sports season in the books prematurely, YourSportsEdge.com has reached out to coaches, and they have provided us with information and comments on their seniors.  We will be recognizing the Class of 2020 for the remainder of what would have been the spring sports season.

Hayden Cunningham is the third baseman for the Trigg County Wildcats.

“Hayden is our returning player with the most varsity experience. He had the opportunity to play some infield his freshman year when an injury sidelined one of our starters,” Trigg County Coach Tyler Magan said. “This was pretty cool for me my first year at Trigg to be able to coach Hayden as a JV player for part of the season, and then as an assistant at the varsity level for part of the season. I was able to see the potential that Hayden had at a young age. Hayden worked himself into a starting third base role during his sophomore year, followed again his junior year, and was set to play there again this year. During his time he earned an All District award for his play.”

“One thing that really stands out about Hayden is his competitiveness. He hates to lose. It doesn’t matter if we are maxing out, taking velos, or any other competition, he wants to win. His competitive nature is something that helps keep him dedicated to getting better as often as he can. He always wants to be the one getting the most cuts in, the most throws in, the most lifts in. Hopefully Hayden can take his competitive spirit of wanting to be the best with him going forward in life and help him in his college studies and career,” Magan said.
