The field for the 2020 Chad Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic has been announced, with two teams from the western half of the state to appear in the tournament. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will feature 14 Kentucky teams instead of the traditional 12.
According to a report in the Courier Journal, Marshall County, out of the 1st Region, which features Western Kentucky committment Zion Harmon, will play in the tournament. Joining the Marshals from the western part of the state will be the Bowling Green Purples, out of the 4th Region.
Four boys regional champions from 2020 will appear in the KOB this season, Elizabethtown, Male, Covington Catholic, and Martin County.
The other Kentucky teams will be Ballard, Beechwood, Eastern, North Laurel, Oldham County, Spencer County, Trinity, and the host Fairdale Bulldogs.
The two out of state schools will be Brentwood Academy and Dorman High School, from Roebuck, South Carolina.
The 2020 tournament is set for December 18-22.
