UPDATE – Hopkinsville Wastes No Time Filling 2020 Football Schedule

Hopkinsville wasted no time in getting its 2020 football schedule filled to the maximum nine games following the KHSAA’s vote to begin playing games on Sept. 11.

With full practice beginning on Aug. 31 and games 12 days later, the first three games of the Tigers’ schedule were shuttered.  Games with Kenwood [Aug. 31], Mayfield [Aug. 28], and Caldwell County [Sept. 4] will not be played.

Hoptown will open the season Sept. 11 against Henderson County at the Stadium of Champions.  The following week, they will play crosstown rival Christian County at the Stadium.

The Tigers begin district play Sept. 25 at Calloway County followed by a district road game at Logan County Oct. 2.  Madisonville comes to the Stadium Oct. 9 for the third of Hoptown’s four district games.

On Oct. 16, Hoptown filled its bye week with McCracken County, coached by former Tiger Coach Marc Clark.

Games on Oct. 23 against Hopkins County Central and on Oct. 30 at Paducah Tilghman remain unchanged.

Hopkinsville will end the regular season Nov. 6 at Bowling Green.  Late Tuesday, a social media message said the Tigers had added Crittenden County for that slot but that changed on Wednesday.  Hoptown now has four home games and five road games on its 2020 schedule.
