Dawson Springs’ guys placed second out of four teams in golf action at Pennyrile Forest State Park on Friday.
Gage Smiley carded a 4-over-par 40 to lead the Panthers, who totaled a team score of 188.
That trailed only Crittenden County, which won the event with a 172.
Addison Whalen shot 43 for Dawson while Carlton McCuiston and Grayson Brewer each had 52.
Kolby Crook and Jake Back shot a 53, Harrison Davis 54 and Jonathan Garrett 74 for the Panthers.
Crittenden’s Sam Greenwell took medalist honors with a 36.
Caldwell County was third in the team standings at 191 while Livingston Central placed fourth with a 272.
In the girls’ competition on Friday, Dawson edged Crittenden in the team scores 158-164. The top three scores were used for the girls’ totals.
Maddie Huddleston was the medalist, leading the Lady Panthers with a 43. Natalee Oldham carded a 56, Brylee Spurlin 59 and Maddie Back 65.
