Caldwell’s Crick Claims Medalist Honors But Storm Wins Match

Caldwell County freshman Austin Crick claimed medalist honors with a 4-over-par 40, but Hopkins County Central defeated the Tiger golf team by eight shots.

Crick was 1-under through five holes during Tuesday’s action at the Madisonville Country Club golf course.

Eighth grader Collin Whittington was next for the Tigers, placing fourth in the nine-hole match with a 43.

Cannon Littlejohn had a 51, Ryan Hammett 52 and Camden McGregor 53 for the Tigers.

Hopkins Central shot a team score of 178 while Caldwell had a team total of 186.

Kaleb Adams and Ryan Crook topped the Storm, with each carding rounds of 42.

Also for Hopkins Central, Dreaw Lewis shot 45, Blade Byrum 49 and Jagger Byrum 60.

Caldwell’s golfers have a home match Wednesday morning, hosting Dawson Springs at 9 a.m. at Princeton Golf Club.
