Caldwell County’s scheduled football game at Union County on Friday has been canceled.
Caldwell school officials cite the current COVID-19 cases in Union County as the reason.
Tiger football coach Will Barnes says he is looking for a replacement opponent, but that may be difficult just two days out.
Caldwell opened the season with a 22-0 win over Crittenden County last week.
The Tigers are scheduled to host Ballard Memorial next week for a Class 2A 1st District contest. That night is also slated to be both Senior Night and Homecoming.
