Caldwell County and Trigg County battled to a 3-3 draw in a back-and-forth match Thursday night at the Trigg Recreation Complex.
The Tigers’ Blake Vivrette tied the game for the final time when he converted a penalty kick with less than 2 minutes to play.
Trigg (2-3-1) drew first blood in the 11th minute when Anthony Ethridge scored with help from Will Jolly.
Caldwell tied things 3 minutes later on a goal by Ethan Weatherspoon.
The Tigers then took the lead when Haiden Ball scored on a free kick in the 16th minute.
Keller Nichols knotted the game at 2-2 when he scored in the 36th minute.
Ethridge netted his second goal in the 54th minute, giving Trigg a 3-2 advantage.
It looked like that goal might hold up, but Caldwell got the penalty kick in the 79th minute and Vivrette made good to make it 3-3.
Joseph Crawford had seven saves in the Trigg net.
