Caldwell County’s girls just fell short in a comeback bid against Calloway County on Thursday night, falling 4-3 at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
Hannan Young had two goals and Kaylee McEnaney added one for the Lady Tigers, who trailed 4-1 at halftime.
For Calloway (5-2-2), Elle Carson recorded a hat trick while Avery Poston added the other goal.
The Lady Tiger soccer team is now 5-3.
Caldwell will next make up a 7th District date at Madisonville-North Hopkins Saturday afternoon.
