Caldwell County’s Morgan McDaniels lifted the Lady Tigers to a rare win at Madisonville-North Hopkins Saturday afternoon.
The 7th District match was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and still knotted by that same score after overtime, sending the contest to penalty kicks.
McDaniels was last to go. With the shootout tied 2-2, McDaniels buried her shot into the net, giving Caldwell the shootout, the match, the No. 1 seed for the district tournament and a berth in the 2nd Region tournament.
