Five-time defending 2nd Region champion Henderson County is beginning to play well as the postseason nears.
After taking down Caldwell County 3-0 on Tuesday, the Lady Colonels knocked off Christian County by that same score Thursday night in Henderson.
Jordan Troutman had 13 kills and two blocks as Henderson upended Christian by scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-14.
Christian’s best chance of extending the match came in the second set when the southern Lady Colonels went up 18-13.
But the northern Lady Colonels rallied to win that set and went on to finish the match in three sets.
Kaylee Stott had six kills and two blocks for Henderson. Emmi Kirtley had 24 assists.
Henderson is now 7-7 with home matches coming up Saturday against Marshall County and Owensboro Catholic.
Christian is 8-7 and will next host Caldwell County Saturday morning.
