Boys’ District Tournament Soccer Action Heads Into Night Two

The second night of the boys high school soccer postseason comes up Tuesday evening. Semifinal action in the 8th District and the 13th District highlight the area schedule.

In the 8th District, which is being played at University Heights Academy’s Givens Field, Hopkinsville and Christian County will square off in a semifinal round matchup at 7:30pm. The Tigers won the only regular season matchup between the two teams back on September 12, when they shutout the Colonels 3-0 at the Stadium of Champions.

The winner will take on University Heights in Thursday night’s championship match.

In the 13th District, being played at Todd County Central, the host Rebels will battle Russellville in the “late night” semifinal contest at 8:00pm. The Panthers knocked off the Rebels 3-1 on September 8th in Elkton in their only get together of the regular season.

The Todd Central-Russellville winner will take on the winner of Tuesday night’s first semifinal between Logan County and Franklin Simpson. The Wildcats manhandled the Cougars 7-0 during the first week of the season.
