When Keon Dillard lost his junior season in track and field due to the coronavirus shutting down high school sports, the Christian County senior decided to use that as a motivator for the 2020 cross country season.
Dillard ran a season-best time at the Fenton Dawson Invitational at Trigg County on Oct. 3. Over the weekend, he posted a top-10 finish at the FastCats Invitational in Owensboro. After the Trigg run, Keon, the nephew of former Christian County All-State runner Carl Dillard, discussed how he is using cross country to prepare him for his final track and field season in the spring.
