Trigg Claims Third Place at Wildcat Wilderness Invitational

Trigg County’s boys’ cross country team finished third at the Wildcat Wilderness Invitational hosted by Franklin-Simpson Saturday.  The event was run in two waves with the times combined for one composite results listing.

Austin Cavanagh came in fourth place with a time of 16:53 over the 3.1-mile course.  He was 19 seconds behind the winner, Apollo’s Thomas Ashby.

Timmy Cannon was 17th in a personal best time of 18:28.  He led a strong pack of runners that saw Marshall Jenkins finish 19th, Riley Thompson 21st, and River Oliver 23rd.

Ryan Simpson finished 73rd and Nathan Potts was 81st.  Joseph Crawford was 110th and Christian Nott was 11th.

Trigg County finished third out of 14 teams in the event with 82 points.  Bluegrass United Home School Team won with 72 points, and Apollo was second with 76 points.
