When the Kentucky High School Athletic Association announced that the start of basketball season would be delayed until at least January 4, one of the area’s traditional basketball showcase events was put at risk for the 2020-2021 season. However, it appears that the event will get the chance to take place after all.
While still working on the final lineup of teams and schedule, officials with the Marshall County Hoopfest have told YourSportsEdge.Com that this year’s event has been rescheduled for the latter part of the basketball season. At this point, the Hoopfest is slated for February 18, 19, and 20, at Marshall County High School.
While the official lineup has not been released, some schools involved in the event have already made the modifications to their schedules on the KHSAA website.
