Hopkinsville senior Reece Jesse has been named to a pair of postseason All-State football teams.
The 6-foot-3 receiver, who has over a dozen offers from Division I schools for football including Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee in the SEC, was voted Second Team All-State by the Louisville Courier-Journal as voted on by the coaches statewide.
In a COVID-shortened season, Jesse had 36 catches for 745 yards and seven touchdowns.
For his Hoptown career, Jesse owns the school records for catches (119), yards (2,411), and touchdowns (24).
Jesse was also named to the inaugural 33-player Kentucky Sports Radio All-State Team.
In addition, Hopkinsville sophomore Daisjuan Mercer was named honorable mention for the Courier-Journal’s All-State Team. Mercer had three interceptions and two tackles for loss during the 2020 season.
