South Haven held off Heritage Christian Academy for the second time this season and grabbed a 54-50 win over the Warriors Tuesday in Hopkinsville.
The Patriots from Springfield, Tennessee beat HCA 51-43 last month. The Warriors started strong in their bid to exact revenge and held a 15-12 lead after one quarter.
South Haven knotted the game at halftime 26-26, and the teams remained tied after three quarters.
South Haven tried to pull away but kept HCA in the game with a 2-for-8 effort at the free throw line. The Patriots hit 6-of-16 for the game, while HCA was 5-of-8.
Weston Powell led the Warriors with 14 points. Matt Wills and Carlos Robles both added 12 points for HCA, who was a starter down for the second straight game.
Manny Deng led South Haven with 17 points, and Drew Atkinson provided 13 more.
Heritage Christian Academy looks to snap a four-game losing streak Friday when they host region rival Oak Ridge Christian.
