Former Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball standout Katie Van Hooser has had back-to-back big outings for her Bethel University squad.
Van Hooser was credited with 30 assists Thursday night in Henderson, Tenn., but her Bethel Lady Wildcats began a four-game road trip by losing a tight 3-2 match at Freed-Hardeman.
The Lady Wildcats fell 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 25-15, 13-15.
Bethel is now 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the Mid-South Conference. Freed-Hardeman moved to 13-8 and 2-4.
On Sunday, Van Hooser had 27 assists as Bethel claimed a five-set win over conference rival Martin Methodist 25-17, 20-25, 25-20, 23-25,15-10 in McKenzie, Tenn.
Martin Methodist dropped to 8-3 and 5-2.
The Lady Wildcats travel to Williamsburg, Ky., for a match against the University of the Cumberlands Friday at 6 p.m. Central time.
