As expected, Caldwell County’s top-seeded duo of Jordan and Ryan Hammett breezed into Tuesday’s semifinals with a pair of wins on Monday.  In addition, the team of Billy Wallace and Grayden Miller also secured their spot in the state tournament and will return for a second day to play for their spot in the championship match.

After a first-round bye, the Hammett duo easily dispatched UHA’s Rudra Patel and Matthew Couch 6-0, 6-0.  Fort Campbell’s Micah Wortham and Alec Rhodes offered little resistance in a 6-1, 6-1 quarterfinal victory.  A semifinal matchup with Webster County’s fourth-seeded pair of Seth Ranes and Ryan Warford awaits on Tuesday.

Wallace and Miller began their day with a bye before topping Henderson County’s Landon Hurtte and Carson Weiss 6-3, 6-0.  In the quarterfinals, the Tiger pair upset Hopkins County Central’s third-seeded duo of Colton Browning and Easton Crowe 6-4, 0-6 to set up a Tuesday matchup with the second-seeded team, Hopkinsville’s James Folz and Spencer Powell.

The Tigers didn’t fare quite so well on the singles side, with Bryce Thompson bowing out in the first round 1-6, 0-6 to Webster County’s Vincent Major and Nick Adams falling 2-6. 0-6 to UHA’s Will Bryan.
