Jase Paul Hampton Takes 4th Place at Spartan Clash

On a day that started out quite pleasant and ended up quite warm, Todd County Central officially opened the 2021 high school golf season at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville. Two Rebel golfers were on hand to take part in the 2021 Spartan Clash, hosted by South Warren.

Todd County Central’s Jase Paul Hampton and Ryan Williams were the only Rebels available to make the trip for the season opener.

Hampton had a solid day on the course, finishing his round with a 73. That score placed him just three strokes off the lead, and in a three-way tie for 4th place in the event. Bowling Green’s Graham Hightower took medalist honors with a round of 70. Todd Central’s Ryan Williams finished his day with a round of 94.

Bowling Green’s Graham Hightower

In the team competition, Bowling Green’s “A” team edged out Greenwood’s “A” team in a battle of crosstown rivals. The Purples took a three shot win over the Gators 294-297. Franklin-Simpson was a distant 3rd at 318.
