The UHA Lady Blazers spent a busy weekend on the volleyball courts at the 2021 Bluegrass State Games. The young Lady Blazers were able to get plenty of time on the courts against competition from across the Commonwealth. UHA saw seven matches over the course of the three-day event.

The Lady Blazers wrapped up their appearance by taking on Pulaski County. UHA dropped a tough two-set match to Pulaski County 21-9, 21-17.

Sunday’s action followed a long day of play Saturday for the Lady Blazers. UHA took to the court four times Saturday, with two of most matches going to the full three sets. UHA fell to Ashland in two sets, 21-12 and 21-10. The Lady Blazers also fell in two sets to Western Hills, 21-10 and 21-17.

UHA and Lincoln County battled their way through three tough sets, with Lincoln County coming away with the 21-12, 20-22, and 15-2 win. The Lady Blazers encountered a more familiar foe in Webster County, with that match going to the Lady Trojans in three sets, 21-12, 19-21, and 15-3.

UHA will open the regular season August 17 hosting Hopkins Central.
