The Lyon County Lyons hit the road Tuesday evening and put an end to their six match losing streak. The Lyons found the net twice while their defense put the clamps down on the Fort Campbell Falcons enroute to a 2-0 win on post.

Lyon County’s last shutout was in October of 2020 when they blanked Todd County Central 2-0.

Levi Willis had a big night for the Lyons. Willis scored both goals for Lyon County, one coming on a penalty kick, the other off an assist from Timothy Stewart.

For the Falcons, the match marked their first time to take to the pitch since they lost to UHA in the 8th District semifinals on October 7, 2019. The Falcons missed out on the entire 2020 season due to DoDEA COVID restrictions, which shutdown all fall contact sports at Fort Campbell High School.

Lyon County improves to 1-6 with the win. The Lyons are scheduled to return to action Friday evening when they travel to St. Mary.

Fort Campbell opens the season at 0-1. The Falcons are set to host Webster County September 2nd on post.
