The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers were initially set to take on the Todd County Central Lady Rebels Thursday night. However, some scheduling confusion led to an issue with getting officials for the night, so the Lady Tigers headed south of the border instead to take on Clarksville Northeast. The Lady Eagles limited the Lady Tigers to just eight shots on the night as they picked up a 5-0 win.
Kendall Mayes, in goal for Hopkinsville, was under pressure most of the night from the Lady Eagles. She still ended the night with eight saves.
The loss sends Hopkinsville to 1-2 on the season. The Lady Tigers are set to open district play Saturday evening when they host the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons at the Stadium of Champions.
